This Fritillaria affinis is really large and robust flowering in late April. The bulbs take a long time to get to flowering size and can develop to enormous saucers. This certainly a plant to empress neighbours with. It produces lots of bulbils but these can take 5 or 6 years to flowering. Plant 6cm deep in well drained soil.30cm tall.
